Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

The Ad Pool is operated by Riz Nwosu (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy describes information processed through theadpool.com and related sponsorship transactions.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Sponsor details: company name, contact name, work email, website, message, chosen inventory, and logo files.
  • Purchase evidence: order details, price, Terms version and snapshot, acceptance time, IP address, browser user-agent, and fulfillment records.
  • Communications: emails, artwork approvals, support messages, refund requests, and other order correspondence.
  • Payment data: Stripe processes card and billing information. We store Stripe references and payment status, but not full card numbers or CVVs.

Information collected automatically

  • First-party analytics: page and conversion events, a random session identifier, event time, inventory type, and selected value.
  • Security and server logs: IP address, browser type, requested pages, error details, and timestamps collected by us or our infrastructure providers.

3. How We Use Information

  • create and protect inventory reservations;
  • process payments, invoices, receipts, refunds, and disputes;
  • verify the Terms accepted for a purchase;
  • review, display, fabricate, and document sponsor logos;
  • send transaction and project communications;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate sales, and payment disputes;
  • measure site conversion and improve the experience; and
  • comply with tax, accounting, legal, and contractual obligations.

We do not sell personal information and do not use sponsor information for behavioral advertising.

4. Services That Process Information

  • Stripe processes Checkout, payment, billing, receipt, fraud-screening, refund, and dispute data. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend may deliver purchase confirmations and admin notifications when transactional email is enabled. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting and database providers process application data and operational logs so the site can run. The specific provider may change as the project develops.
  • Social platforms process information contained in published sponsor content under their own policies.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, authorities, or a successor operator when reasonably necessary and legally permitted.

5. Retention and Security

Sponsorship, payment, acceptance, refund, dispute, and fulfillment records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to perform the agreement, respond to disputes, and satisfy accounting or legal duties. Transaction records may be retained for at least seven years. Logo assets may remain in project content and archives after the physical term ends as allowed by the Terms.

First-party analytics are capped and older raw events are overwritten as the cap is reached. Infrastructure logs follow the applicable provider's retention schedule. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and Browser Storage

The public site uses session storage to keep a random analytics session identifier during the current browser session. It is not used for cross-site advertising. The password-protected admin area uses a strictly necessary, HTTP-only session cookie. Stripe may use its own cookies or similar technologies during Checkout under its policy.

7. Legal Bases for EEA and UK Visitors

Where applicable, we process information to perform a sponsorship contract, pursue legitimate interests such as security and site improvement, comply with legal obligations, and, where needed, based on consent.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. Some transaction records must be retained even after a deletion request. Email hello@theadpool.com and include enough information to verify the request.

9. Children

The site and sponsorship product are intended for businesses and adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
